I am a humanist naming, wedding and funeral celebrant, based in Northumberland, accredited by Humanists UK.

As a lad I wanted to be either an astronaut or Merlin. The closest I got to the former was the Moon in my surname, though I got closer to the latter by studying drug research in Bath, then Switzerland, and Sussex.

After many happy years in the vibrant, progressive and über-cool city of Brighton, I recently moved to rural Northumberland.  I say ‘I’, but it’s really me, my wife, and dogs. It is astonishingly quiet here, proper dark at night, the countryside is alive with critters, and the beaches are spectacular.

Apart from helping others celebrate their big life events, I’m into music, the visual arts, wildlife sound recording, appreciating nature, science, writing, getting out and about on legs and two wheels.
